BEADED CHESS KNIGHT KEY FOB

Handcrafted of hundreds of tiny glass beads, this key fob
features a chess knight of my own design*.

I stitched this chess knight key fob using two colors of
#11 Delica beads…black and gold…each with two
different finishes.  The black beads were stitched in a
diagonal pattern, alternating glossy beads with those of
a matte or flat finish.  The gold beads used to stitch the
outline of the chess knight have a matte or flat finish,
while the gold beads used for the “frame” of the fob are
glossy.

The chess knight faces left on the front of the fob; I’ve
provided a photograph of the back of the fob so you can
see how it very closely resembles the front.

The loop of the chess knight fob slips easily on the split-
ring key ring.

Sturdily and completely hand-stitched with strong nylon
thread; the beads are tiny but they are strong; no glue
was used to attach the fob to the split-ring key ring.

Lightweight; the 1-1/8-inch silvertone metal split-ring key
ring weighs more than the fob does; together they barely
tip my postage scale at a couple ounces or so.

Fob measures 3-1/2 inches long X 1 inch wide; overall
length of fob and split-ring key ring together is 4-1/2
inches.

My digital photography skills are amateur at best;
however, I’ve tried to get as accurate a photograph as
possible of this chess knight key fob.  The white spotting
you may see on your computer screen is reflected light
on the glossy beads.

I have designed a complete chess set and plan on
stitching more key fobs featuring the king and queen, as
well as Christmas ornaments featuring all six pieces in
holiday colors.  (I plan to list those for auction on eBay
and may offer them for sale on this site as well.  This
particular fob is offered for auction on eBay
here.

Please feel free to contact me if you would like
information on custom orders; any color combination is
readily available for personal preferences as well as
school colors for chess clubs.
