The 9/11/01 Bead Quilt Project
The 9/11/01 memorial project created by beaders from all over the world and
assembled in a quilt-like fashion as a means of expressing their feelings
about 9/11.  Their efforts honor the almost 3,000 victims of the World Trade
Center and American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175 that
crashed into the towers; the Pentagon and American Airlines Flight 77 that
crashed into it; and United Airlines Flight 93 that crashed in
Somerset County, Pennsylvania.
Blocks were made to generally represent the feelings of the artists about
the events of 9/11/01.
This remains a traveling exhibit; the schedule is on the site.
A slideshow and still photos let you see
close-ups of all the squares.

United in Memory - The 9/11/01 Quilt Project
The 9/11/01 quilt memorial project contributed to by quilters from all over the
world as a means of expressing their feelings about 9/11.  Their efforts
honor the almost 3,000 victims of the World Trade Center and American
Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175 that crashed into the twin
towers; the Pentagon and American Airlines Flight 77 that crashed into it;
and United Airlines Flight 93 that crashed in Somerset County,
Pennsylvania.
Blocks were made by the artists specifically for each victim.
This remains a traveling exhibit; the schedule is on the site.
There are dozens of pages showing each block;

(Tess had the honor of making three blocks for this project.)
