UNDERSEA NECKLACE

This was a simple bead stringing project using a collection of beads gathered from a variety of sources.  I hope I'm
not the only one out there who had Beads of Mystery in their stashes!  I can't for the life of me remember where I got
most of the seed beads in this necklace.  Some are Mill Hill beads left over from one of my myriad cross-stitch or
quilting projects, some are #11 Japanese seed beads I've recently purchased just because I liked them (although I
have to admit I'm pretty proud of myself for actually USING them!), and some I've just had, it seems, forever!  I found
the glass seahorse in a Ben Franklin craft store while on my honeymoon in Montana in 2004; I think it's a Blue Moon
Beads product.  Most of the large glass beads are pressed Czech glass beads from the Salem, Oregon Craft
Warehouse...they have a big table of loose beads that is great fun to sort through.  You can fill a good-sized
container with any assortment you want from the table for $3.99.  Such a deal!  The pewter charms I found at Root's
Island Beads (great shop!) in Depot Bay on the Oregon Coast and they were purchased specifically for this project.

This necklace was great fun to make but I don't have an outfit to wear it with...I'll have to rectify that!
